The 30 year old singer took to the stage at the London auditions for the ITV show and gave her best Britney Spears impression for the judges. Audience members told newspapers at the time that she had writhed and crawled all over the judges table, dressed skimpily in a revealing body stocking, but that despite all her titillation, all three panellists buzzed her off the stage, before her song had finished.
It was said at the time that even though Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff were less than enthusiastic about her routine, Simon Cowell ordered her tryout to be shown on the main show a) because he wanted to spice things up and b) because she once worked for his production company SYCO.
In a later story, it was claimed that Simon was forced to cut her audition from the live shows, because it was too raunchy. However, this appears to be untrue because Lorna will be shown on tonight’s episode, singing and dancing to Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’ and during her routine will go to the judges table to give Amanda Holden a kiss.
Afterwards, even though she did buzz her early, Holden admits:
I enjoyed it. I loved the taste of your cherry lipgloss.
David Hasselhoff adds:
I like your wardrobe very much!
